title: Definitely no where near spring...
It is minus eighteen bagillion outside. Ok, maybe that is a bit of an extreme but it is most definitely freezing out. Poor little car had a hard time starting, probably not the best sign. And I may have lost an ear during the walk from my parking spot to work.
Waking up in the morning has become quite a challenge lately. I can't figure out what is wrong, I go to bed early and try to make sure that I get enough hours, but I can not pull myself out of bed in the morning. I am missing some motivation. It doesn't help that I am tired all the time now, not quite sure why that is. Maybe its this whole seasonal depression thing thats hanging around. Come on warm weather, shift over this way! I need more sunshine =)Labels: 2011

title: Spring, are you out there?
I woke up this morning wishing that maybe winter had turned around and spring was on its way. Instead it is close to -25 C out. Definitely not spring weather. I feel the need for some sun to warm my bones. But then again it is still February, which means that spring isn't until May or June at the earliest so I should stop my complaining and buy a car starter. And some warmer shoes, converse were not built with an Alberta winter in mind. I think I am going back to my vans...
I finally heard back from the plastic surgeon's office and I have a second interview. Fingers crossed that this one goes as well as the first. Then I can start looking for a place to live on the west end, or if it doesn't work out I can start job hunting again. Although I should still be job hunting, it just opens up the potential to move to the south side which would also be nice. I would love a place that I can actually decorate and have as my own. That is most likely not the way it will work, it is always nice to dream a little dream. I blame Ikea and that fabulous home design store in Southgate for that.
Ugh, it is 10:41 and I wish I could crawl back into bed. But it has been a productive morning at work so far, maybe I should have had some coffee earlier. I am trying to avoid the habit of drinking coffee, but sometimes it is a nice little kick in my hot chocolate. Must stop thinking of coffee, bad. Maybe I should go back to being productive...Labels: 2011

title: Wednesday eh?
Update on the new coffee machine: It makes absolutely horrible coffee. I have gone back to making my own tea and hot chocolate. Not impressed, but supposedly the next machine uses Starbucks coffee, so it will be just as strong, if not stronger than this coffee. In the words of Chris "It will knock your tits off". Too true.
So since one of the girls in dance is in Hawaii, and has been missing classes, I got her solo on Sunday. I am tickled pink about it. First she gets a taste of her own medicine and maybe it will knock her down a notch, and she got cut from both end combinations. I know that I shouldn't be happy at someone else's expense but this is just karma. We perform on the 26th, which is soon and scares me a bit. And my little kids dance on the 11th, so I get to dance on stage for that one too. They are super cute, but absolute terrors in class. Not quite sure if they are actually learning anything, but Oksana and I try our hardest. We teach tonight, and it is always a guessing game if we are actually going to have kids show up for class. I'm trying to figure out if the Oilers are playing in town tonight, so I know to avoid Rexal and go a different way home. Which is a bit of a bugger... I am hoping that during Thursday's class Taras will set people in lyrical. Supposedly we are performing that at the book signing along with the new Hopak and its encores. Maybe Taras will start some new choreography soon, it is always nice to have new dances to learn. I have decided to not quit dance just yet, because really deep down it does make me happy, I just have to realize it and have more fun.
I had a job interview yesterday morning and it went surprisingly well. She liked all of my answers and said that I asked great questions. Now here is to hoping I get the job. Jimmy might be changing jobs in St. Paul, which would mean a 8 and 6 rotation, so we decided to start looking at places to live on the west end. He can spend his 8 days in St. Paul and still be on the fire team, and then spend 6 days in the city. It would definitely be nice to move out of the house and have my own "home". I am still a little uncertain, but when am I ever sure about anything. I am currently enjoying being in the relationship which I would describe currently as being "long term", but I'm not sure if I see marriage in the future. I am pretty certain that Jimmy does, which means that I have to sit down and talk to him about this. If I could avoid it I would, but I would rather have it out in the open then in the back of my head. Things could change in the future, but right now that's how it is.Labels: 2011
